Palo rosa y cuerda (Rosewood & Strings)–ft. iris luis-gomez and more – in the performance space

Experience a joyful fusion of Afro-Latin rhythms, classical guitar, lyrical flute melodies and improvisation on the traditional Cuban tres—a small, bright-sounding guitar central to Cuban son and other folk traditions.

Palo Rosa y Cuerda (Spanish for “Rosewood & Strings”) is a unique project by C&B Productions under the direction of Iris Luis-Gomez, a Cuban-born multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer. The name reflects the instruments at the heart of the group’s sound, as well as the project’s traditional roots.

Iris (guitar) is joined by Olivia Soler (tres), Kristalis Sotomayor (flute) and Rafael Heredia (percussion) to create an uplifting musical journey that blends classical technique and folk storytelling—inviting audiences of all backgrounds to listen, move and feel.
