Acclaimed guitarist/bandleader Eric Hofbauer has been a vital force in Boston’s jazz scene for over two decades. A five-time DownBeat Critics Poll pick (most recently in 2025), he’s known for his boundary-pushing Prehistoric Jazz series, inventive solo guitar work and collaborations with Han Bennink, Cecil McBee and Matt Wilson.

Featuring faculty and alumni from the Longy School of Music, where Hofbauer chairs the jazz department, the band surprises and delights with jazz standards, originals and unique covers of Björk, Radiohead, The Beatles and more.
