ABOUT KASS RICHARDS
Kass Richards, originally from rural Virginia and now based in the Boston area, releases her new EP Gospel November 6, 2026 via Good Cry Records. Recorded with Chris Brokaw and David Minehan, who also co-produced the record, the four-song EP explores grief, loss, and gratitude through a mix of original work and reinterpretations of songs by U.S. Girls, Aidan Coughlan, and Tim Buckley.
Gospel follows Richards’ 2024 album New Love Meditation, described by Bandcamp as “a work of haunting indie folk,” and her 2020 debut The Language Shadow. A frequent collaborator with Meg Remy’s U.S. Girls, Richards has contributed backing vocals to the project’s live performances and acclaimed 4AD releases. Her multidisciplinary work also includes editing Remy’s book Begin by Telling and composing the score for the animated short Pottero, which has screened at more than 35 film festivals.
